Monstera Leaves

 In nature, the Monstera or windowleaf is an evergreen liana that climbs high into the rain forest canopy, attaching itself to trunks and branches and supporting itself above the ground with long tentacle-like aerial roots. Monsteras can be found in the lush tropical rainforests on Oahu and Kauai. 

Each leaf is crafted by Leighton Lam. The material is pure 20-gauge copper. The blends of color accents are hand painted with industrial acrylic polymer exterior paints. These art pieces are made for interior and exterior environments. They are made of materials that are proven 'the best' to handle Hawaii's extreme climates of salt air and rainfall. Each leaf is hand painted by Leighton Lam so no two pieces are alike. If you are ordering multiple leaves Leighton will make sure the leaf styles go together beautifully.

Mounting of leaves: Each leaf has a copper loop solder to the back. Hang each leaf from this loop using a nail or screw, they are quite light. Adjust the angle of the leaf by pushing the copper loop to one side or the other. Bends in the leaves can also be adjusted by gently by hand. The Gecko is movable with a copper wire to slide into the holes in the leaves.
