Leighton the Artist
1996 gave Leighton the opportunity for a new innovation, copper lighting fixtures. The idea for these tropical lights came when Leighton was designing his home and needed exterior lighting. He wanted lighting that was high in quality, unique and reflective of the island lifestyle. The current lighting market lacked the look Leighton was looking for so he decided to create his own lighting. To create the light sconces Leighton increased the scale of his art designs, using the same acid cut technique and used copper as the medium. He named this collection of beautiful lighting Paradise Lights™, designed to create a Hawaiian sense of place.
